If only my boss appreciated how hard I work, I would get a raise.
My friend complimented my dress; she must see how fat I look in this color.
My sister needs to help me get that new job or I will never get out of debt.
It’s easy to blame others for the negative aspects of our lives, and it’s common to believe that we must rely on others to get our needs met, to gain the resources we need for fulfillment, and to validate our worth. If we want real change, however, we must start by realizing that the answers to our greatest challenges are within ourselves. All we need is a genuine commitment to change and the tools and techniques to access and heal from our negative core beliefs. The techniques are as follows:
Self-limiting core beliefs are rooted in cognitive distortions. We see the world through negative eyes, and thus attract negativity. Have you caught yourself doing all-or-nothing thinking, blaming others for your problems, making problems bigger than they really are? These are just some of the distortions that lead us to feel unsatisfied and unhappy.
You don’t have to spend tons of time and money on therapy to create the life you want to live. You do have to release your limiting beliefs and false notions, however, so that these wounds no longer have power over you. Then you must replace them with new information that will promote overall healing and return to balance.
By identifying the issues you want to address, acknowledging that you accept and love yourself despite these issues, and using Emotional Freedom Techniquestm, you will restore balance in you body and your life. The power to change is within you, and when you begin to identify, dismantle, release, and eliminate the limiting core beliefs that have been holding you back from living the life you desire.
Choose a self-limiting belief that you’d like to work past, and get started now. You deserve a rich and fulfilled life, and you have the power to achieve it.
